The Miami Dolphins have agreed to a contract extension with guard Mike Pouncey, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Pouncey is expected to receive a similar deal to the one his brother, Maurkice, got from the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The Steelers center signed for five years and $44 million.
The 25-year-old was selected to consecutive Pro Bowls in 2013 and 2014. He played the first three years of his career as a center, but spent last season at right guard.
Miami exercised Pouncey's fifth-year option last summer. The former Florida standout is considered the foremost piece of the Dolphins' offensive line.
