AFC North Notebook: Ravens want to rework Flacco's deal; Tomlin visits Pirates camp

Baltimore Ravens

Ravens want to rework Flacco's contract. The team is looking to sign a more cap-friendly contract with its franchise quarterback, who signed a six-year, $120-million deal one year ago.

Bisciotti can see Ravens taking first-round pass-rusher. The owner told season-ticket holders that the team could "throw a curveball" and draft a pass-rusher with its first pick.

Matt Schaub believes Ravens have great group of QBs. The newly acquired quarterback told reporters on Wednesday that the Ravens are "going to have one of the best (quarterback) rooms in football."

Cincinnati Bengals

Bengals reveal April Fools' Day logo. The team poked fun at the Cleveland Browns' new uniform colors by unveiling a new logo on its website.

Bengals sign QB Josh Johnson. The journeyman quarterback will serve as a camp arm with the potential to push for a role as the backup to Andy Dalton if he impresses.

Lewis not worried about Dalton's playoff performance. The Bengals' head coach is more concerned with his team's poor defensive effort in the playoffs. Surrounding Dalton with better talent continues to be the mantra.

Cleveland Browns

Browns could be done with Johnny Manziel. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the team is "90 percent" done with the troubled quarterback. They will most likely look to Josh McCown this season.

Haslam evaluating Ray Farmer on Manziel, Gilbert's success. "Everybody is killing our two first-round picks," the Browns owner said last week. But the future of those two players is what matters to Haslam.

Urban Meyer says Browns "fantastic" at pre-draft due diligence. The Ohio State coach is a big fan of Browns coach Mike Pettine, saying he's "not good" but "fantastic" at his job of evaluating players.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Tomlin has coaching brother in Pirates' Hurdle. The Steelers head coach visited Pirates camp on Monday and had a lot of nice things to say about the team and its manager, Clint Hurdle.

Steelers meet with Miami Hurricanes TE. After his pro day, the Steelers met with Miami tight end Clive Walford on Wednesday. Walford could go as early as the second round in the draft.

Clifton Geathers back for another year. Defensive end Clifton Geathers re-signed a one-year contract with the team. He was a depth player last year, but could push for playing time in 2015.
