Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson will spend the next few weeks recovering from an offseason hip surgery, head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Wednesday.

The relatively short timetable would suggest that Nelson's procedure was indeed minor, and he'll likely return to the team for the majority of the scheduled offseason workouts as a result.

Nelson is coming off an incredible 1,519-yard, 13-touchdown campaign, and he remains the top receiver in the Packers' high-powered passing attack going forward.
