The Miami Dolphins re-signed quarterback Matt Moore on Friday

Moore played in two games last season, serving as Ryan Tannehill's backup.

The veteran quarterback reached a one-year deal with the Dolphins, according to ESPN's James Walker.

Moore hasn't seen the field often since his first season with the Dolphins in 2011, where he started 12 games, throwing for 16 touchdowns against nine interceptions.

Although he's played scarcely over the past three campaigns, Moore was considered one of the best free-agent quarterbacks available on a scarce market.
