Seahawks' Pete Carroll expects Earl Thomas to be ready for start of 2015

The Seattle Seahawks' secondary finished the season decimated by injuries, but Pete Carroll expects the most important piece to be ready to go come the start of 2015.

Thomas underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in late February and is expected to need six-to-eight months to recover.

Caroll couldn't say the same about Jeremy Lane, though, who went down with a broken arm and torn ACL in the Super Bowl.

Other members of the group are also ailing. Richard Sherman is rehabbing an elbow issue, while Kam Chancellor is dealing with an MCL tear.

Seattle's secondary is the strength of the team, so getting the unit healthy by September is paramount.
