Cowboys sign Keith Rivers to 1-year deal

The Dallas Cowboys appear to have found some insurance at linebacker for 2015.

Dallas signed Keith Rivers to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

With Bruce Carter, Justin Durant and Rolando McClain set to hit the free-agent market, Rivers at least gives Dallas an option if they can't find suitable replacements in the offseason.

The veteran was cut by the Buffalo Bills on Feb. 17 and will be entering his seventh season in the league.

His best campaign came in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals, when he registered 77 tackles.
