Giants offer exclusive-rights free-agent tender to Larry Donnell

Geoff Burke / USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants offered an exclusive-rights free-agent tender to tight end Larry Donnell, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News

The one-year, non-guaranteed deal is for the league's minimum salary, and as an ERFA, other teams cannot pursue him.

The exclusive-rights free-agent tender is almost always used on undrafted free agents, and Donnell meets the criteria as he went undrafted in 2011.

Donnell had his breakout campaign in 2014, catching 63 passes for 623 yards and six touchdowns, and may have a larger role in the Giants' offense next season.
