Bruce Arians: LeSean McCoy 'wasn't a good fit' for Cardinals

The Philadelphia Eagles apparently made it known to more than one team that running back LeSean McCoy was available for trade.

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians appeared on NFL Network on Wednesday morning and said Arizona knew McCoy was being shopped, but declined to make an offer.

"No, it wasn't a good fit for us," Arians said, according to Pro Football Talk.

Arians thinks McCoy will be a good fit for the Buffalo Bills, though.

"Great move for Buffalo," Arians said. "Not that (Kiko) Alonso is not a great player - I think he's going to be, coming off surgery - but when you have LeSean's resume, that kind of speaks for itself."

As for the thinking behind the trade, Arians said he sees Chip Kelly as the kind of head coach who wants to bring in guys who will play his way.

"Chip is building his culture there," Arians said, "and he's doing one heck of a job."
