Texans' Quessenberry in remission after cancer diagnosis

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Houston Texans offensive lineman David Quessenberry says the cancer that caused him to miss the entire 2014 season has gone into remission.

Quessenberry shared the good news Wednesday on Twitter, thanking his fans and supporters for their well-wishes during his battle with the illness.

Diagnosed with lymphoma in June 2014, Quessenberry is now in the maintenance phase of his treatment but has no timetable for a return to the NFL.

Quessenberry, a sixth-round pick of the Texans in 2013, was in attendance at the team's home opener in September.
