The Green Bay Packers released linebacker Brad Jones on Friday.
"We thank Brad for his contributions and dedication to the Packers over the past six years,” general manager Ted Thompson said in a statement. “We wish him all the best."
Jones was a seventh-round pick in 2009 and carved out a decent role for himself. He had 10 sacks and nearly 300 tackles in six seasons with the Pack.
The move will save Green Bay $3.75-million in cap space.
