Crabtree is unlikely to re-sign with the 49ers, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis:

Crabtree's tenure in San Francisco didn't lack for intrigue, but his 2014 campaign flew under the radar, with the former No. 10 overall draft pick catching 68-of-108 targets for 698 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games. Crabtree shouldn't have much trouble finding a job as a starter, but he doesn't offer much big-play ability and hasn't looked like a true No. 1 since tearing his Achilles in spring of 2013. The 49ers still have fellow possession receivers Anquan Boldin and Stevie Johnson under contract, so a parting of ways makes sense for both sides.
