Bears' Charles Tillman says he wants to play in 2015 in spite of injuries

Charles Tillman has been an NFC champion, Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, a first-team All-Pro and a two-time Pro Bowler, but a Super Bowl ring still eludes him.

The Chicago Bears cornerback missed the majority of the 2014 campaign after suffering a season-ending right triceps injury against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 14.

Tillman will enter his 13th season with the lone goal of winning a championship.

"I love the game. I'm not going to stop 'til I'm dead," Tillman said to USA Today's Tom Pelissero. "Obviously, I can't play until I'm like 50 or 60. But I just want to keep going. I'm feeling good. I just have unfinished business. I want a championship. I think that's my main reason (to keep playing): I'm hungry for a championship."

The 33-year-old has played in 10 games over the past two seasons, but feels his recent injury woes are an anomaly.

"I think my resume speaks for itself. All 10 years of playing (through) multiple injuries - it takes a lot to keep me off (the field). But this one, I couldn't go because I couldn't protect myself."

Entering the offseason as a free agent, Tillman didn't commit to the Bears for 2015.

"That's the business," Tillman said. "I'm trying to feed my kids. So, whatever team's going to help me pay my bills and help me feed my family - let's go."
