49ers confirm hiring of Geep Chryst as offensive coordinator

San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York confirmed the team's hiring of offensive coordinator Geep Chryst during an appearance on NFL Network on Friday.
Chryst worked as the 49ers' quarterbacks coach for the past four seasons. He previously served as an offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers from 1999-2000, during which San Diego posted the fifth-fewest yards and sixth-fewest points in the NFL.
