Report: Redskins' Raheem Morris expected to take job with Falcons

Kim Klement / US PRESSWIRE

It appears Washington Redskins defensive backs coach Raheem Morris could be headed to Atlanta.

Morris will interview for - and is expected to accept - a hybrid assistant/defensive coordinator position under soon-to-be Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, according to the Washington Post's Mike Jones.

Though he hasn't been a defensive coordinator at the NFL level, his success as a position coach earned him a three-year stint as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' head coach from 2009-11.

Morris spent the past three seasons as Washington's secondary coach, but was granted permission to interview elsewhere after Joe Barry was brought in as the team's new defensive coordinator earlier this week.
