Justin Forsett on Ravens: 'They expressed that they want me back'

Andrew Weber / USA TODAY Sports

According to Justin Forsett, the Baltimore Ravens are interested in re-signing him.

The journeyman running back finally found a home in Baltimore in 2014, rushing for a league-high 5.4 yards per carry, and he believes the Ravens want that to continue.

"That is the plan, they gave me my shot, they trusted me and believed in me enough to give me that shot so I'd like to stay," Forsett told Around The NFL on Friday. "They expressed that they want me back. I want to be back, so we'll see what happens."

Forsett thrived in departing offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak's offense, and feels he can do the same with Marc Trestman calling plays.

"I believe I can do all styles, but the last couple years I've been in a zone scheme, so I'm ready for whatever," he said. "I'm excited ... I'm no stranger to a new offensive coordinator. I think I've had one every year in my career."

The Ravens and Forsett have yet to formally discuss a new contract.
