Report: Eagles' contract negotiations with Jeremy Maclin stall

The Philadelphia Eagles and Jeremy Maclin have hit a snag in negotiations on a new contract, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com.

The optimism that both sides expressed following the season seems to have waned, and possibly because Maclin has switched agents, the report suggests.

"I'm not nearly as optimistic as I was before," ESPN insider Adam Caplan recently said on Philadelphia radio station 97.5 The Fanatic. "It's going to take way more work than I anticipated."

The two sides were reportedly close to having a deal done at the end of last season, but now money is a major sticking point for each party.

Maclin has made it clear he wants to stay in Philadelphia after posting 85 catches for 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2014.
