Cardinals' Calais Campbell to undergo sports hernia surgery

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell is dealing with a sports hernia, but isn't about to let it keep him out of his first Pro Bowl.

Campbell told Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com that he is holding off on surgery until the first week of February.

"Easy recovery though but it definitely hurts playing through," Campbell said. "But I figured if I could play through a playoff game I could play through the Pro Bowl."

Campbell had 58 tackles and seven sacks in 2014.
