Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain had his knee examined by famed orthopedic surgeon James Andrews, according to Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News.
McClain battled a knee injury throughout the year, but played in 13 regular season games.
He was one of the surprise stories of the 2014 season, with a myriad of arrests and indecision about football plaguing his career prior to a breakout campaign with the Cowboys.
Dallas acquired McClain and a seventh-round pick from the Baltimore Ravens for a sixth-round selection.
The 25-year-old recorded 81 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble.
