Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola garnered plenty of negative attention for a cut block on New England Patriots defensive tackle Zach Moore late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game.

The Patriots routed the Lions 34-9, and Raiola admitted to the cheap shot after the game.

"I cut him. We took a knee, so I cut the nose," Raiola said to reporters post-game. "They went for a touchdown at two minutes. They could have taken three knees and the game could have been over.

Raiola will not be suspended for his block on Moore, according to NFL spokesman Michael Signora.

There are conflicting reports as to whether Raiola will be fined or not. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Lions center will not be penalized, while ESPN's Michael Rothstein said he could face a financial deduction.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said Raiola's antics were the result of his frustration with the loss.

Lions head coach Jim Caldwell confirmed Monday the team will not be punishing Raiola for the play.
