AFC South Notebook: 'Fitzmagic' time again; Hilton gets emotional

Kevin Jairaj / USA TODAY Sports

Every Monday and Friday, theScore's NFL editors will bring you a roundup of everything you need to know from around the division with the AFC South Notebook.

Houston Texans

"Fitzmagic" time again. Ryan Mallett is reportedly out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle, likely forcing Ryan Fitzpatrick back into a starting role

Playoff hopes dead? Did Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals end any realistic chance the Texans have of earning a postseason berth?

Clowney still limited. Jadeveon Clowney doesn't look like the explosive player the Texans thought they were getting when they selected him first overall in the 2014 draft. He looks like he's still recovering from knee surgery in September

Indianapolis Colts

Hilton gets emotional. If you missed T.Y. Hilton's teary-eyed postgame interview - only hours after the birth of his daughter - you need to rectify that. It was a touching moment that's rarely seen on a football field.

Colts overcome bad blocking. The Colts managed to win Sunday despite allowing five sacks and fumbling the ball four times. That's really hard to do.

Cribbs shines in debut. Newly signed kick returner Josh Cribbs did what he is paid to do Sunday, providing a spark with a long return that set the Colts up with great field position. After the game, Cribbs issued a warning to other teams.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Bortles, offense regressing. The Jaguars' offense played its worst game of the season Sunday. Is Blake Bortles to blame or is he helpless to make plays with receivers who can't get separation?

Don't overlook defensive performance. The Jaguars played well enough on defense to win the game Sunday, sacking Andrew Luck four times and forcing two fumbles in the first quarter alone.

Blackmon completes rehab. Suspended Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon is one step closer to reinstatement after completing a voluntary drug rehab program

Tennessee Titans

Mettenberger shows promise. Zach Mettenberger didn't play a flawless game Sunday - he's still holding the ball too long and missing throws - but he continues to give the Titans some hope for the future.

Running game can't get going. Bishop Sankey and the Titans' rushing attack is providing almost no value for the offense. Is the blocking to blame or is it possible the Titans overrated Sankey coming out of college?

Titans officially eliminated. With Sunday's loss, the Titans are mathematically eliminated from postseason contention
