Per ESPN.com, coach Marvin Lewis indicated that it's too early to get a read on Bernard's status for this coming Thursday's game against the Browns, but with regard to the running back sitting this weekend, Lewis noted, "the rest is going to be good for him." With Bernard ruled out, Jeremy Hill is in line to head the Bengals' Week 9 rushing attack, with Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead available to work in complementary roles on Sunday.
