Chip Kelly on not knowing about player injuries: 'I’m not Dr. Miyagi'

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly wants to have a detailed understanding about everything there is to know about his players ... except their injury information.

Kelly, obviously, doesn't have a medical degree and therefore thinks he doesn't need to know a player's injury status outside of whether or not they can play.

“Because I can affect that,” Kelly told CSNPhilly's Geoff Mosher. “I can affect their sleep habits. I can’t affect their injury though. If a guy tore a muscle, I’m not Dr. Miyagi. I can’t put my hands together, rub them together and touch his leg and make them better.

“Just tell me who can play and who can’t play. I’m really good at what we can control and what we can’t control and we can’t control that, so let’s go play.”

It seems as though Kelly has a profound misunderstanding of what happened in the "Karate Kid" movies.
