Dez Bryant on loss to Redskins: 'We let this one slip away'
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is disappointed after losing 20-17 to the Washington Redskins in a key divisional matchup.
Bryant caught three passes for 30 yards and a touchdown, a marked decline from his usual production.
“We let this one slip away,” Bryant said to ESPN's Calvin Watkins. "We have to look at ourselves in the mirror.
"As a team, we let one slip away. I’m scrambling and trying to get open and try to give him a target, guy did a good job on the ball,” Bryant said of the impressive play of rookie Redskins cornerback Bashaud Breeland. Breeland was tasked with shadowing the star receiver.
The Cowboys fell to 6-2, while the Redskins won their second consecutive game to move to 3-5.
