Bills head coach Doug Marrone says Sammy Watkins needs to work on growing up

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins has seldom looked like a rookie, elevating the Bills' passing game to a different level.

However, the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft certainly looked like a 21-year-old on one play Sunday against the New York Jets.

Watkins broke free for a 84-yard catch that would've been a certain touchdown, but the former Clemson star opted to celebrate a bit too early and was tackled before reaching the end zone.

Bills head coach Doug Marrone wasn't pleased with his antics.

"I said, 'There were people on that sideline' – meaning his teammates – 'that were upset. We're playing our butts off and we don't have time for stuff like that,'" Marrone said to reporters after the game, as relayed by Mike Rodak of ESPN.

"Those are the things we have to work on: winning and growing up."

The lone gaff aside, Watkins had an incredible game catching three passes for 157 yards and a touchdown in a 43-23 victory. It was Watkins' second consecutive 100-yard game. The rookie receiver has recorded 38 catches for 590 yards and five touchdowns this season.
