49ers' Daniel Kilgore to undergo season-ending surgery Tuesday

As a result of the leg injury suffered Sunday night against the Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers center Daniel Kilgore is set to undergo season-ending surgery Tuesday.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh indicated that third-round rookie Marcus Martin would get the first shot at replacing Kilgore with the first-team offensive line moving forward.

Even so, the injury leaves the unit with a lack of experienced depth at the position, so the 49ers could turn to the free-agent market as well.
