Seahawks' Baldwin: Harvin trade may have factored into loss to Rams

The out of the blue trade that sent Percy Harvin to the New York Jets may have played a factor in the Seattle Seahawks' loss to the lowly St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

At least wide receiver Doug Baldwin seems to think so.

"Obviously the shock of the transaction and what took place there made for a bit of an emotional roller coaster," Baldwin told ESPN's Terry Blount. "When something that drastic happens, right before we get on the bus (to go to the airport for the trip), there is going to be an emotional impact. I felt we handled it to the best of our ability, but I think it might have been a factor in some way."

Baldwin had a monster game Sunday, hauling in seven passes for 123 yards and a touchdown.

With rumors swirling about a growing rift between Harvin and parts of the Seahawks' locker room, Baldwin admitted the two were involved in an altercation during the preseason.

"It is true," he said. "However, when you deal with somebody 12 to 14 hours a day, you are going to have issues and conflict, just like any family."
