Andre Ellington: (Foot) Suffers Rib Injury Sunday

Ellington (foot) sustained a rib injury just before halftime Sunday, but returned early in the second half of a win at Oakland, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Analysis:

Although Ellington yielded short-yardage situations to fellow back Stepfan Taylor, who tallied two touchdowns inside the five-yard line, Ellington took a season-high 24 carries for 88 yards, marking his best YPC (3.7) since Week 2. Additionally, he supplemented fantasy lines with six catches on nine targets for 72 yards. The 160 yards from scrimmage marks his peak on the year to date and doubles as the third outing of 100-plus offensive yards in six games. Considering the substantial usage, touchdowns should soon arrive on his doorstep, but owners can rest assured that he handles the bulk of the RB workload in Arizona.
