Eagles' Lane Johnson to start Sunday

Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson, who returned from a four-game suspension this week, is slated to start Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

Johnson met with Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland and head coach Chip Kelly individually Monday, providing each with an outline of how he spent his suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

"He told us all the same thing," Shurmur said, via Philly.com. "He did what he could to stay in shape. We'll put him in there and get him going."

Johnson's return should provide a much-needed boost to the Eagles' offensive line, which is without starting left guard Evan Mathis and center Jason Kelce.

"You weather the storm (up front) until we get those five guys all back that played all of last year," Shurmur said. "It's kind of like a boat. You put your bow into the waves and go. You don't stop and sometimes you get wet while you're driving. You just go. I think that’s where we're at."
