NFC East Notebook: DeMarco Murray is rolling, LeSean McCoy is not

Dallas Cowboys

Injuries continue to pile up for Cowboys defense. As if the unit needed any more going against it, both linebacker Bruce Carter and cornerback Morris Claiborne went down with injuries on Sunday night. The Cowboys fear Claiborne's is pretty serious.

DeMarco Murray on record-setting pace. USA Today notes that the Cowboys running back is on pace to run right into the record books.

Saints shower Murray with praise. The Cowboys have become a run-first team and that has meant big things for the Oklahoma product. The Saints certainly took notice of his dominance on Sunday night, as ESPN notes.

New York Giants

Ndamukong Suh headed to the Big Apple? Sunday Reports indicate the Giants' defensive tackle is on his way out in Detroit, and New York could be his preferred landing spot.

Odell Beckham ready for his debut? The Giants' top draft pick could be ready to make his debut Sunday when the Giants take on the Atlanta Falcons, and Beckham could be featured in the way Randall Cobb has been in Green Bay, says Rant Sports.

Victor Cruz loves the team's new offense. The Giants' top wideout has been moved around the field as the Giants try to use his athleticism to their full advantage. According to Giants 101, he loves it.

Philadelphia Eagles

LeSean McCoy thinks the Eagles left rushing yards on the field Sunday. The team's official website notes that the defending rushing champion wasn't happy with Sunday's performance, after he averaged 1.7 yards per carry.

Eagles' Kelly not happy with o-line play. The team's head coach ripped the performance of the offensive line after Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers, via USA Today.

Eagles defense needed to make one more play. The Philadelphia defense had a good game against San Francisco on Sunday, but they couldn't make the big play when they needed to on Sunday, the team's official website notes.

Washington Redskins

Solution to the Redskins' name controversy. Mark Carpowich of the Huffington Post thinks he's found a solution to the team's name controversy, and it comes from the "Playground."

More fines to come in wake of brawl. The brawl between the Redskins and Eagles is old news for some, but ProFootballTalk believes there could still be more fines to come from the incident.

Redskins hope to get Jordan Reed back Sunday. The injury to Niles Paul in Thursday night's game could have meant bad things for the team at the tight end position, but they could get starter Jordan Reed back in time for Sunday's game.
