Deion Sanders: 49ers players want coach out

Rumors continue to swirl about a rift between the San Francisco 49ers and head coach Jim Harbaugh.

49ers players have lost the desire to play for Harbaugh, according to NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders, who spent one season in San Francisco.

"They want him out," Sanders said Sunday following the 49ers' 26-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, per CSNBayArea.com. "They're not on the same page."

Sanders did not provide details of what the players' specific issues are with Harbaugh, but said there are "rumblings" coming from the locker room.

"I really want to know if they’re really playing for the head coach. I got a question with that. Are you really down with your head coach, San Francisco 49ers?" Sanders said. "Because the way it looks and what I'm hearing, you're really not down for your head coach. And that’s a problem.

"They really got some problems that we hear rumblings. We all know people inside locker rooms."

The 49ers are 38-13-1 in the regular season under Harbaugh and 5-3 in the playoffs.
