Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo added injury to insult when it was revealed on Tuesday that he tore ligaments in his left finger. However, he will continue to play with a cast.
Orakpo suffered the injury during a 37-34 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
“I don’t know how it will affect me because I haven’t been in that situation yet,” Orakpo said to John Keim of ESPN.com
“We’ll see. I should be fine. I’m on the edge. I can hold the edge. I only need to grab (when I) tackle.”
The sixth-year pro will be playing on short rest, as the Redskins take on their NFC East divisional rival New York Giants on Thursday.
