Report: Ray Rice to argue video was edited

Ray Rice will reportedly claim that he was punished based on an edited videotape when the former Baltimore Ravens running back appeals his indefinite suspension, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Legal sources told Schefter that the second Rice video (in which he allegedly hit his wife in an Atlantic City hotel elevator) was a "cleaned-up, whittled down and condensed version" of the incident.

Rice's legal team is expected to argue that the NFL suspended Rice based on an edited videotape that was not a complete version of the events.

The Ravens released Rice on Sept. 8 after TMZ published the second video. He was originally handed a two-game suspension by the NFL based on the original tape, which showed Rice allegedly dragging his then-fiancee out of the elevator.
