Donald Trump says Pegula family overpaid for Bills; Jessie Pegula fires back

Joe Camporeale / USA TODAY Sports

The vast majority of fans in Western New York were thrilled when Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula submitted a winning bid to buy the Buffalo Bills on September 9.

Pegula paid $1.4 billion for the team, and had repeatedly stated his intention to keep the team in Buffalo.

In his way stood real estate magnate Donald Trump, who had also announced his intention to buy the team.

Trump did not take news of the sale well and was at his antagonistic worst on Friday.

While both Terry and Kim Pegula did not respond to Trump, their daughter Jessie wouldn't let it fly.

Pegula's bid to buy the team was unanimously approved by the NFL's finance committee.

The undefeated Bills take on the San Diego Chargers on Sunday at home.
