Cardinals place John Abraham on season-ending IR

The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that they have placed linebacker John Abraham on injured reserve, ending his season.
Abraham suffered a concussion in the Cardinals' Week 1 victory over the San Diego Chargers and had yet to pass concussion protocol. He took some time away from the team to weigh his options, but decided to continue playing.
To fill Abraham's spot on the active roster, Arizona re-signed punter Drew Butler.
