Ndamukong Suh's high school friends say Cam Newton is in hot water

Referring to Ndamukong Suh as "Donkey Kong" could come back to bite Cam Newton when the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers square off Sunday.

Speaking anonymously with Aaron Fentress of CSNNW.com, three of Suh's high school friends said Newton's comments were not taken lightly by the Lions defensive tackle.

"Ndamukong Suh is a real life beast," one friend said. "When he sees prey he will attack with no remorse. Being that Cam Newton is disrespecting his name, his culture and his family, that only gives him added motivation to do whatever it takes to make him pay, legally, within the rules of the game, of course."

Another friend said he knows from experience not to call Suh "Donkey Kong."

"I called him that in high school and he almost took me out," the man said. "But he knew better back then. He was the little homie."

Newton used the video-game reference five times during his 15-minute press conference Thursday. Suh chose not to respond to Newton's comments, but his friends said he is bothered by the incident.

"Suh is going to try to take his head off," one of the men said. "He is motivated already to get after the quarterback. That's his job. You shouldn't add fuel to that fire."

Added another friend: "I feel sorry for Cam Newton and those baby back ribs of his this Sunday."
