Aaron Rodgers to Richard Sherman: 'I hope you get some work this year'
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not throw to Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman's side once, in a 36-16 loss Thursday.
Rodgers and Sherman were caught on camera delivering a brief exchange after the game.
On Tuesday, the Packers quarterback explained what was said between the two superstars.
"I think I said, 'I hope you get some work this year," Rodgers said on ESPN radio.
"By that point, I knew that we hadn't really looked to his side or thrown to his side, and I just said that to him, and I think we kind of laughed about it and went on the way."
Sherman was matched up against Packers third receiver Jarret Boykin for the vast majority of the game.
As part of the Seahawks' Cover 3 scheme, Sherman only plays the left side of the field, and only targets specific receivers in rare cases.
