Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien confirmed Monday that the team will be without rookie linebacker Jadeveon Clowney for the next four-to-six weeks.
Clowney, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft, left Sunday's game in the first half after suffering a torn meniscus.
Texans safety D.J. Swearinger told reporters earlier Monday that Clowney said the turf at NRG Stadium was to blame for the injury. However, O'Brien said Clowney did not mention anything to him about the playing surface.
