The Cincinnati Bengals and outside linebacker Vontaze Burfict have reportedly agreed on a multi-year contract extension that will keep the Arizona State product in Ohio through the 2018 season.

Adam Caplan of ESPN was first to report the news.

Burfict was entering the final year of his first contract, which he signed as an undrafted free agent. He would have become a restricted free agent following the season.

Burfict led the league with 171 total tackles a season ago, adding three sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an interception.
