Report: Manziel fined by Browns after showing up late to meeting
Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports
Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel and a few other rookies found themselves in hot water earlier this week after they were late for a team meeting, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.
The players were reportedly fined for their tardiness, but Mortensen believes they simply misread the schedule.
Mortensen also reports that the issue did not factor into the Browns' decision to name Brian Hoyer their starter for Monday's preseason game against the Washington Redskins.
