Richie Incognito claims he's had 'some nibbles' from NFL teams
Former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito hasn't given up on a potential return to the NFL, and claims there are some teams that have expressed an interest in his services.
In an interview with Josh Peter of USA TODAY Sports, Incognito said his agent is looking for opportunities and "we've had some nibbles.''
Incognito did not specify how many teams have reached out to his agent, and refused to divulge any other details.
"I'm not talking until I get picked up," he said. "I'm standing pat on that."
Incognito, who was suspended by the Dolphins last season for his role in the Jonathan Martin bullying scandal, was required to undergo an intensive evaluation before he would be allowed to play again.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was asked recently whether Incognito or any of the other players involved in the bullying scandal would receive a suspension, and had this to say (per NJ.com):
"It's a broad issue. I would say that the one person who has been very responsive in going through the program has been Richie Incognito. We're working with his people and monitoring his progress on that front."
