49ers limiting Michael Crabtree in OTAs
With the torn ACL to Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee earlier this week, teams are being careful not to suffer a similar fate with one of their players.
The San Francisco 49ers took note and are limiting wide receiver Michael Crabtree's reps.
"(He was) more limited than some of the other receivers that we have, but I think our medical staff and Michael and we as coaches, are taking a smart approach," head coach Jim Harbaugh told the 49ers' website.
Crabtree played in only five games last season after tearing his Achilles in an offseason workout, so the 49ers want to monitor him in OTAs.
"There’s a plan in place for him," added Harbaugh.
San Francisco would like a healthy Crabtree to return to his form of 2012, where he posted 85 receptions and nine touchdowns.
