After starting their draft by selecting Auburn's Greg Robinson, the St. Louis Rams landed arguably the best defensive tackle in this draft class with the 13th overall pick, bringing Pittsburgh's Aaron Donald into the fold.

Most people consider defensive tackles as nothing more than run stuffers that occupy space, but Donald's skill set provides much more than that. He had 29 1/2 sacks in his career at Pittsburgh to go along with 66 tackles for loss, proving he can put opposing offenses behind in the down and distances with regularity.

Donald relies on his speed to beat bigger offensive linemen and can shoot through gaps given his smaller frame. The fact that Donald doesn't strictly have to line up inside given his versatility, should give St. Louis some added options for defensive schemes this season.

A defensive line that includes Robert Quinn, Chris Long, Michael Brockers and now Aaron Donald will give opposing offensive lines nightmares trying to figure out how to keep their quarterback safe.

Donald can easily step into a starting role for the Rams in 2014 and should make life a lot easier for the rest of their front seven. Expect defensive coordinator Greg Williams to have a lot of fun with schemes for the Rams in 2014.
