The Ravens have selected the 2013 Butkus Award winner C.J. Mosley from Alabama. In Mosley, the team has found a young leader for its defense.

Mosley is a sure tackler who uses great technique when wrapping up the ball carrier. He's a difference maker in slowing down the running game, and he limits a lot of yards after contact. Mosley notched more than 100 tackles in each of his last two seasons with the Crimson Tide.

Mosley is perhaps a bit undersized to play inside linebacker in the NFL, so it remains to be seen how the Ravens will use him. He's had some injury concerns in college and will need to add some bulk to hopefully avoid some of the wear and tear a 16-game season will no doubt provide.

Nevertheless, the Ravens are getting a good leader that can control a defense and ensure everyone knows their assignments.
