Darqueze Dennard has a new home, as the Cincinnati Bengals selected the unanimous first-team All-American with the 24th overall pick Thursday night.

Dennard was viewed as one of the top cornerbacks in the class after winning the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back in 2013. Not surprisingly, Dennard was also named the top defensive back in the Big Ten last season.

The Michigan State standout started two games as a true freshman for the Spartans in 2010. Dennard would start for Michigan State for the rest of his career, culminating in 2013 when he helped lead the Spartans to a Big Ten Championship and a victory over Stanford in the Rose Bowl.

Dennard is a strong, physical corner that also has the speed to keep up with the NFL's elite receivers. He's very good in press coverage and plays bigger than his 5-foot-11 frame, allowing him to cover taller receivers.

In four seasons with the Spartans, Dennard registered 167 tackles, 20 passes defended and 10 interceptions (including a career-high four last season).
