Richard Sherman's rant: Loud, brash, and lucrative
Despite his Stanford education, Richard Sherman's intelligence was held in question after his now-infamous, emotionally-laden tirade that resulted from the Seattle Seahawks' NFC Championship triumph last weekend.
But, maybe it was the businessman in Sherman doing the screaming, and ultimately, the last-laughing.
In conversation with CNN Money, his agent, Jamie Fritz, projects that he could generate upwards of $5 million in endorsement contracts because of his momentary outburst - win or lose, next weekend.
Sherman, 25, who earned just a shade over half a million dollars in salary during his third pro season, could earn ten times that off the celebrity achieved from what many have viewed as a brash, pompous, and classless act.
Well played, Sherman. Seriously.
