Jets’ D on Chris Johnson: Keep him in front of us because we can’t catch him

The New York Jets know the key to success Sunday against the Tennessee Titans will be shutting down explosive running back Chris Johnson.

"You have to keep him in front of you," Jets linebacker David Harris said. "You can't let him get outside because no one on this defense is fast enough to catch him from behind."

Johnson has been contained through three games by opposing defenses, averaging 3.7 yards per rush with a long of 23 yards.

The New York stop unit ranks sixth in the NFL against the run, allowing 79.7 yards per game.
