Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Parris Campbell believes teammate Saquon Barkley is the best player at his position.

"He's going to show people why he's the best running back in the league," Campbell said, according to Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer. "I know there's a bunch of debate between him and Christian McCaffrey. And don't get me wrong, Christian McCaffrey's by far one of the best running backs in the league.

"But being able to see Saquon up close and personal, being in the same locker room, on the same team, man, he's a different guy when he's on that field."

Campbell also played alongside Barkley on the New York Giants last year. Barkley had a down year as New York's offense struggled to move the ball. In 2022, Barkley had a terrific campaign, totaling 1,650 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also led the league in yards from scrimmage in his rookie season.

McCaffrey was the league's most productive offensive player last year. He led the league in rushing yards, scrimmage yards, and touches. The 27-year-old has been outstanding since joining the San Francisco 49ers, racking up 3,233 yards and 31 touchdowns in 27 games.

Campbell emphasized that Barkley's new offensive infrastructure in Philadelphia will help him show off his skill set.

"Running behind that offensive line that we have, I think it's going to be pretty scary for defenses," Campbell said. "You pair that with Jalen (Hurts) and the things he can do with his feet, just as far as extending plays, getting outside the pocket, I'm sure there will be some type of read-option game that we go on and RPO stuff that'll happen."

Since the Eagles hired head coach Nick Sirianni in 2021, they've led the league in EPA per rush and rushing success rate, according to Ben Baldwin's database.

Philadelphia signed Barkley to a three-year contract in March. The 27-year-old has 7,311 total yards and 47 touchdowns in 74 career contests.
