James O'Shaughnessy: Dealt to Patriots for draft pick

O'Shaughnessy was traded to the Patriots on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Analysis:

The Chiefs and Patriots worked out a deal that sent O'Shaughnessy and a sixth-round pick to New England to acquire pick No. 183 at the end of the fifth round. O'Shaughnessy does not offer much as a receiver with eight career catches over his first two seasons, but he should be a serviceable blocking tight end in run-heavy formations.
