The San Francisco 49ers have selected tight end George Kittle out of Iowa in the fifth round (146th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

- Straight-line speed to attack the seams and create matchup problems for linebackers over the middle.
- Physical and punishing blocker in the run game.
Weaknesses
- Athleticism didn't translate to big-time production at Iowa, as he finished with 290 and 314 yards in his last two seasons, respectively.
- May need to add weight to maintain his blocking effectiveness against bigger bodies in the NFL.
