The Carolina Panthers have selected offensive tackle Taylor Moton out of Western Michigan in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Moton fills an immediate need as Carolina struggled to protect star quarterback Cam Newton last season, allowing a whopping 36 sacks.

The 6-foot-5, 319-pounder can play multiple positions, but figures to be the eventual replacement for Michael Oher at tackle.
